Selmer Mark VI Tenor - Windblowers
This iconic 1970 Selmer Mark VI Tenor Saxophone has been fully repadded and restored by our expert technicians.
It has been owned by one professional player from new and has signs of lacquer-wear consistent with its age.
It comes supplied with both the original and new Champion case.
This Selmer Tenor Saxophone is a late‑period Mark VI, prized for its warm vintage tone, excellent craftsmanship, and strong projection. These later-period horns are known for a bigger, broader, slightly darker sound than early‑VI horns - still flexible, still “Selmer”, but with a touch more resistance.
This model was manufactured during an era when Selmer Paris was still hand‑building horns in France but had shifted to slightly different bore and neck designs compared with the 1950s / early‑1960s instruments.
